Will I be forced to get rid of my things?
No Absolutely not. My goal as a professional organizer is to help you find peace in your home and find a suitable place for all of your things. Decluttering and donating items is 100% up to the client and no pressure will come from the Organizer.
Do I need to clean or tidy up before you arrive?
In order to have the most efficient organizing session it is helpful to clear out some space to work and lay items out when making decisions. I also bring materials with me to use for organizing which can take up space.
What if I feel embarrassed about my mess?
I can understand how feeling embarrassed is common especially during an organizing session. I assure you that I do not judge or make rude comments about your space. I will also keep your home private and will not take any pictures because I want you to feel super comfortable.
How much does your service cost, and do you charge hourly or by project?
I charge per project which is why a mandatory consultation is required which costs $75. The consultation will allow me to tour your space and meet you to make sure we are a good fit. I will also measure your space and get an idea of what materials I need in addition to providing you with the correct amount of time the project will take. The consultation fee is non-refundable and is separate of the project fee.
Do I need to be present during the organizing sessions?
You do not need to be present during the organizing session. I only require you to be present during a decluttering session because I do not feel comfortable donating or throwing anything away without the client's permission.
How long will it take to get my home organized?
Once I complete the in person consultation I can give you an estimated time.
Will you help me shop for organizing items or storage bins?
I will purchase and bring all items and storage bins with me to your space so you do not have to worry about that part at all. I want this process to be as stress-free as possible.
Will you take items to the donation center?
I will haul away all of your donation items for free and make sure that they are donated to families in need. I will also drop off any items that I do not feel are appropriate to give to families or to the donation center. If it is an excessively large amount of items I may have to purchase a dumpster which will be an added cost, but that is a rare case.
